Microbe-Lift:

- Day 10: Ammonia 0.2 ppm, Nitrite 0.8 ppm
- Day 12: Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0.1 ppm

Thirteen days. That's 2x faster than control.
Seachem Stability:
- Day 1: Ammonia 2.0 ppm
- Day 7: Ammonia 1.5 ppm, Nitrite 0.1 ppm
- Day 14: Ammonia 0.6 ppm, Nitrite 0.5 ppm
- Day 18: Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0.3 ppm
- Day 20: Cycle complete
Twenty days. Faster than control, but not by much.
The Prime Confusion
This is the part that confuses everyone.
Seachem Prime is not a bacteria product. It doesn't add bacteria to your tank. It doesn't start the cycle.
What Prime actually does: it binds to ammonia and nitrite and makes them non-toxic. It doesn't remove them. It doesn't process them. It just makes them harmless for 24-48 hours.
If you have fish in an uncycled tank? Prime buys you time. It keeps the fish alive while the cycle catches up.
But it doesn't speed up the cycle. The cycle still takes 28 days.
I've had customers ask me: "Can I just dose Prime every day and keep adding fish?"
No. You can't. Prime only lasts 48 hours. You have to re-dose. And the ammonia is still there — it's just bound up.
The Honest Truth About Bottled Bacteria

Bottled bacteria only works if the tank is set up correctly.
If your filter is too small? If your temperature is wrong? If you're overfeeding? The bottled bacteria won't fix that.
