Started in 2004. First day on the line, my foreman told me: "You don't just cut glass. You cut precision. Every millimeter matters."
I didn't understand what he meant. I do now.
Let me tell you what actually happens when an OEM buyer says "put my logo on your tank."
Step 1: The Glass Cutting
This is where it starts.
Every OEM order begins with glass cutting. We use CNC machines. Tolerance is ±0.5mm.
Why does that matter?
Because if the glass is cut 1mm off? The silicone joint won't seal properly. It leaks.
I've seen cheap OEM tanks where the glass is cut 2-3mm off. The factory just squeezes it into the frame. It looks fine in the showroom. It leaks in the customer's living room 6 months later.
We don't do that. ±0.5mm. Every time.
Step 2: The Edge Polishing
This is the step most factories skip.
Cut glass has sharp edges. We polish them. Three stages: coarse grind, fine grind, buff polish.
Why? Sharp edges chip. Chipped edges leak. Leaking tanks get returned.
Cheap OEM? They skip the polishing. Save 2 minutes per tank. Save $1.50 in labor.
We don't skip it. Three stages. Every tank.
Step 3: The Silicone Weld
This is the most important step. The silicone.
We use Wacker 121 aquarium silicone. It's the same stuff we use on our own brand tanks. Not cheap generic silicone.
The application matters too. We apply 8-10mm beads. Consistent. Even. No gaps.
Cheap OEM? They apply 5mm beads. Squeeze it on. Fast.
That's the difference between a tank that lasts 10 years and a tank that lasts 2.
Step 4: The Leak Test
Every tank gets a leak test.
We fill it with water. Let it sit for 48 hours. Check every seam. Check every corner.
That's 48 hours per tank. Most factories do 2 hours.
Why 48? Because leaks don't always show up immediately. Some seams take 24-48 hours to start seeping.
Cheap OEM? They do a 15-minute visual check. That's it.

Step 5: The Packaging
This is the last step. And the one that determines if the tank arrives in one piece.
We use double-wall cardboard. EPE foam on every edge. Wooden crate for international shipping.
Cheap OEM? Single-wall cardboard. Thin foam. No crate.
I've seen cheap OEM tanks arrive at the port with cracked corners. The customer blames the shipping company. The factory blames the customer.
We don't have that problem. Double-wall. EPE foam. Wooden crate. Every tank.

Here's what OEM means. It's not "put your logo on a cheap tank."
It's:
- Precision glass cutting (±0.5mm)
- Three-stage edge polishing
- Premium silicone (Wacker 121)

That's what you're paying for. Not the logo. The process.

I've cut probably 50,000 panels in 21 years.
The best OEM buyers? They don't ask "how cheap can you make it?" They ask "what's your process? How do you cut? How do you polish? How long is the leak test?"
They know the process determines the quality.
The worst OEM buyers? They ask "how cheap?" Then they buy the cheapest option. Then they get returns. Then they blame the factory.
That's the difference.
